Warm Welcome from the DMV
RoCo Doulas officially moved to Rockville, MD! After taking some time to get settled, I’m so excited to establish RoCo Doulas in the DMV.
*DMV = DC, Maryland, and Virginia. I was unaware of that use of the acronym before moving here. So, for clarification, when I say DMV, I don’t mean the place you avoid going to until the day after your license expires.
While I’ve only been a Maryland resident for about 2 months, I already feel at home. Geographically, the location is perfectly placed between my hometown in New York and my home for the past 6 years in North Carolina. Now snuggled between my two areas of origin, in the land of the cherry blossoms, I feel elated to be laying roots down here.
There’s so much to do around Rockville that I haven’t made my way to DC, despite only being a short train ride away. Some highlights from exploring locally include:
Rockville Town Square - I’ve been a regular at the AMC theater and Saturday Farmer’s Market
Seneca Creek State Park - A wonderful place for a picnic, if you remember the bug spray
Pike and Rose - An area that absolutely lived up to the hype!
